I did a little analysis to find out their birth year on the article u linked, and based on the article, e.co was 27, eddy 24, simba 22, and sancheong 21.

So, based e.co’s birth year, he is already 27 (international age) when the article was posted, which is on april 12, 2014, while the other members hadnt had their birthdays yet. And bcos this is a korean article, i believe they’re using korean age but werent aware that e.co has turned 28 (korean age) by the time they published it. Therefore, my assumption is, in that article, e.co was 27 (korean age) before he had his birthday in march. Moving on.. e.co is 3 years older than eddy, means eddy is a 90liner. Simba is 2 years younger than eddy, hence he’s a 92liner, and sancheong is 93liner since he’s a year younger than simba.
However, this is just my assumption and result from my analysis. It can be wrong but that is what i believe for now haha
In Korea everyone becomes one year older on January 1st, so E.Co would have already been 28 Korean age at the time of the interview ~ And figuring Eddy’s age is really difficult because of his interview for the cooking program he did before joining JJCC ~ James and I have been trying to figure out their birth years for almost a whole year now, and the math just never seems to add up right for Eddy, his cooking program, and the articles we read with his age in them…Every time I do the math according to the article Eddy would be born in 89, with Simba being 91 and Sancheong being 92…so we leave the JJCC ages the way they are…it’s very frustrating to not know – and I have gone as far as emailing the daum cafe, and privately messaging Simba on facebook asking if the birth years of the members will ever be released, or if they could let us know their birth years. I have heard nothing back (as I expected)…so for now we have to just leave it as is XD

Simba is not the leader. San Cheong is. They did it to prevent him from slacking off and becoming lazy. Watch them on Pops In Seoul and After School Club to confirm.
The leader has changed three times within the group: first it was Simba, then it was San Cheong, but within the past two months Simba has been introducing himself as the leader again ~ We had changed the information back when San Cheong was the leader, but changed it back since then.

Who’s the leader of JJCC? I’ve seen some sites saying it’s simba, others says it’s san cheong (which I think is pretty weird to have the maknae as the leader haha). So can someone confirm who’s the leader?
JJCC originally had made Simba the leader, they later announced that they made San Cheong the leader so he would act more responsible – they have not made an announcement since announcing San Cheong becoming the leader changing the leader. James and I are always keeping up to date with JJCC so if they ever announce anything new regarding this we’ll update the page, but the last news about the leader made San Cheong the official leader of JJCC

alright, some info of the boys!! just wanna mention that Eddy’s full name from what i saw of a video, them on K-Populous, is “Edward Young Oh”. o.0 and Sancheong is no longer the leader, but Simba is. [not sure how that is possible as in ASC, Sanchong was still considered as a leader though] and E.Co mentions his surname is “Sa” and when saying Sa E.Co it’s like “psycho” but i’m not sure if it is or not from the k-populous video.

To those who are still unaware, JJCC’s fancafe staff announced the official JJCC fandom name to be ‘Diamond’ earlier this morning. However, this fandom name is already being used by another Kpop group called ‘Pure Boy/순정소년’. I personally have not heard of them before and they don’t seem to be extremely popular, but that’s not to say that we as JJCC fans should disrespect them by using the same name as their fans. (Above photos show tweets from their Twitter directly calling their fans “All our Diamond fans”.)
JJCC fans, how do you feel about the announced fandom name after hearing about this?
Pure Boy is a rebranding of the group Pure who debuted last year, Pure Boy is supposed redebut sometime this year. As far as I know Pure Boy does not have an official Fanclub name yet, unless Diamond was the original Pure’s fanclub name and Pure Boy will continue using. I will look into it though.

I don’t think Simba is 184cm.
Because E.co is 186cm and in all videos and pictures of them, Simba is visibly taller than E.co by quite a bit. He’s often more seen as a giant. A lot of people have been assuming a typo due to the disbelief of his height being so tall but I’ve heard that maybe 194cm is the more accurate height. I’m not sure myself, but Simba looks to be far taller than 184cm.
I would have agreed with you once before, but one of our followers (Misty Allen) posted a video in the comments, and in the video Simba and E.Co address the height difference, and show us themselves that they are really close to the same height. My personal theory is that when they do photo shoots and different official functions the directors and photographers place the members in a way that makes Simba appear taller than everyone else, because he is the leader. Changmin from DBSK always had to crouch down or squat slightly so that he never appeared taller than Yunho who was the leader. Height is can be really important in Korea so it may be that people would believe that Simba was a less effective leader because he is shorter than E.Co even if it is only by 2cm. ~James

When I first heard “At First” I thought that it was pretty good, but that’s as far as my love for JJCC went. Then I just watched this episode of “Let’s Go! Dream Team 2” which had Simba in it, and now I want to hear more of their music and learn more about him XD If you watch the video, you can also see the other JJCC members at times, but you mostly see Simba, who did freaking amazing throughout the entire episode 🙂

I have a feeling that E.co and SimBa’s height have been switched. Because E.co is closest to prince mak’s height when he should be closer to the guy on the right..but simba is close to the dude on the right..

that’s the only way Eddy saying he’s 21 in 2012 (most likely filmed b4 july 7th, bc if it was after that would mean Sancheong is currently 19 turning 20, which is unlikely since all of JJCC are in their 20s)

You could be correct about the ages, but after discussing it with Manwon^^ we have made some decisions.
We know that the information in the article is correct and that Eddy either currently is or will be 24 this year, because the group would not post/retweet wrong or incorrect information.
Assumption 1: All ages are international age, because we know that E.Co’s birth year is 87 from his official profile from when he was in J.Rich, making E.Co 27 already.
Assumption 2: The members gave their current ages, because most people when asked about ages do not say their birth year. They either say their current age or “I will be ____ this year. Therefore Eddy is currently 24 but will be 25 in July making him born in 89. If Eddy said “I will be 24 this year” and the reporter wrote 24 then he would in fact be born in 90.
Thank you for reminding us about Masterchef as well, we had forgoten that, and that information does make us believe that Eddy is most likely turning 24 this year which would make him born in 90.
So taking all of that into account Manwon^^ that to cover all bases in case all or some of the members excluding E.Co and Prince Mak we are going to give a possible age range.

Same for both Manwon^^ and I. We chose to use wordpress, because its really easy, but its more of a blog type site. I would suggest looking into some of the different forum type sites and see if any of those suit your needs, or maybe making or finding a facebook fan page, that might be the simplest thing to use.

So far there hasn’t been anything that I have seen about their religion o.o They haven’t really put anything out there for us. Only things they really put out there, is the members profiles on mwave and their cafe. No one knows what year yet, and we think he uses show lifts all the time apparently. But it would make no sense why Simba would use lifts all the time.. D: if his height truly is 184..
We know that according to his Profile his height is 184cm, but when you look at him compared to the other members he is a lot taller than them, which is why Manwon^^ and I believe that his height was mistyped, so we have stated his height according to what the most believable typo would be. That is why Manwon^^ have listed his height the way it is. As Misty mentioned many idol’s wear shoe lifts, their official profile heights tend to be based off of the height they want to be perceived as as (shoe lifts included, and not their actual height.)

As far as I know none of the boys have instagram – so we can’t know if the information from instagram is correct or not ~ so for now we only have the birth day, not year for the remaining three members of JJCC ~

@jaena I am sure Eddie was either born in 89 or 90, since he was 21 in Master chef of Korea (even though JJCC hasn’t confirmed anything yet, it’s just my guess and from what i seen in an article, don’t take my word for it~) and Prince Mak was in an accident on the day of the shooting, so he wasn’t able to be in it. But he is completely healthy now, which is all that matters. and he is in all stage performances. 🙂
@jaena, @Misty: Eddy could have been born in ’91, ’90 or ’89 depending on if Eddy was saying his international age or his Korean age on the show ~ which is why we haven’t posted his birth year – there are too many unknowns to pinpoint the exact year ~ though I am not going to lie I hope he was born in 89 ~

It was not very serious, they posted a few pics on the fan cafe. He hit his head and it was cut open and then they x-rayed his leg, but everything is fine now. I’m not a doctor so i can’t tell you any more than that.
Actually, its either 90 or 91, because the filming for master chef was before July in 2012. and I have no idea if they did his birthday as one year ahead or not. 🙂 and yea… good thing it wasn’t badly! there was a pic of him without makeup on, and you could see the scar right above his eye. Also, I guess prince mak has been in the group for only 6 months. Yes, ages are tricky no matter where you are which is why Manwon^^ and I are waiting for Jackie Chan to announce the birth years. All we know is all the members are at least 20 (but we don’t know if that is Korean age or International Age), and that Sancheong is the Maknae.
omgosh, I was told before that if you were born in september or later, you are 2 years older and if you were born january to august or something, than your only 1 year older. So if someone was born in June in 92, they would be 22 this year, and if someone was born in september in 92, they would be 23 this year xD that’s what I have been told for the past year…and it made no sense at all, but now I know it wasn’t true. xD ugh lol. for example, if you’re a 1992er
last year you turned 21, but your korean age was 22..so let’s say you’re 22
but when January 1, 2014 hit, you turned 23, so you’re 2+ your REAL age…but when your actual birthday comes up, you’re still 23, korean age, but now you’re only +1 your age. (but real age you’re turning 23)
so right now you’re 21 and you’re going to turn 22 sometime this year, BUT ever since Jan. 1, 2014, you are 23!
another example: you’re born on November 11, 1994
–you’re 19 right now, turning 20 on Nov. 11, 2014…but you are 21 in Korea..so you’re 2+ your current age, but only +1 from your birth year.
so basically, whatever age you turn a certain year, you’re a year older than that.
and if you’re born on January 1st, you just add 1 year, since it’s 1+ the year you turn that year.
i know it’s all complicated, but koreans believe when you’re born you’re already 1 year old, but instead of waiting for birthdays, every new year you turn a year older than the year you’re actually turning that year.
hopefully i made sense! 🙂 (i’m korean and it’s common knowledge, esp. when your parents grew up in korea haha ^^)
